Mason Carr is an associate in Pierce Atwood’s Patent Practice Group.Mason focuses his practice on drafting and prosecuting patent applications for computer science and machine learning technologies. He works on a variety of computer technologies both programmatic and directed to artificial intelligence/neural networks. He has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the following technology areas: large language models (LLMs), automatic speech recognition, natural language processing, synthetic speech generation, user experience (UX) interfaces, big data processing, and cloud computing.Prior to joining Pierce Atwood, Mason was a summer intern for a Canada-based intellectual property firm, and a legal intern for a large company that provides automation, vacuum, and instrumentation equipment for semiconductor manufacturing, technology device manufacturing, life sciences, and others.
