Luis has more than 20 years of experience in the labor and employment practice, supporting international corporations with local investments in Mexico, in connection with all kinds of legal compliance. His main clients include some of the worldwide leading companies from the industries related with electronics, publicity, toys, fashion and others. During the past Federal Administration, he has consolidated as an essential advisor for the energy, oil and gas sectors, leading important projects for global companies with operations in Mexico. He is deputy director of the National Council of the Maquiladora and Manufacturing Export Industry (INDEX), permanently assessing this sector with labor and employment issues in Mexico’s border with USAHe is a member of the “Cuarto de Junto”, where he participated as a representative of the corporate sector for the final negotiations of the Protocol of Amendments of USMCA in December 2019. During 2020, he participated with several local judicial authorities on the training related with the labor reform for future labor judges. He is a member of the “Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados” and the “Ilustre y Nacional Colegio de Abogados” in Mexico. In 2020, he was designated President of the HR Commission of the “Cámara Española de Comercio”. Luis is the Vice-President of the Employment and Productivity Commission of CONCAMIN and member of the Labor Expert Group of COPARMEX. He has been a professor of the Universidad Iberoamericana since 2006, where he currently teaches the Labor Law course.
