About Kaylea
Kaylea is a partner in the McKercher LLP Saskatoon office where she defends both personal injury and professional liability actions, provides policy coverage opinions and advances subrogated claims. Kaylea practices largely in civil litigation. A member of the Firm’s Insurance Law Practice Group, she defends both personal injury and professional liability actions, provides policy coverage opinions and advances subrogated claims. She has also worked with a major natural resources company in achieving successful resolution with its insurers relating to a catastrophic property loss insurance claim. Kaylea started at McKercher as an associate in 2002 and became a partner in 2009.Kaylea was honoured with a Queen’s Counsel appointment in 2021.Kaylea has developed considerable expertise in privacy and access to information law. She has worked with local authorities, government institutions, health service providers, non-profit entities, financial institutions, and private sector businesses.For years Kaylea maintained a general insurance broker’s license and membership in the Insurance Brokers’ Association of Saskatchewan (IBAS).
