Jordi Casas is a partner at Osborne Clarke. He advises on M&A, joint ventures, private equity, venture capital and corporate law matters, including Spanish and cross-border transactions.Having been educated at the University of Barcelona, Jordi graduated with a law degree in 1992 and he also studied in the USA (AFS scholarship, Springbrook High School, 1987), France (Erasmus scholarhip, Université de Poitiers, 1991) and Belgium (Patronat Català Pro Europa’s scholarship, License Spéciale en Droit Européen, Université Libre de Bruxelles – Institut d’Études Européennes, 1993).He has been a lecturer in corporate law in Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra University for 14 years and he is currently lecturer at the LLM of this university.In 2009 he received the “40 under Forty” award by Iberian Lawyer.He is listed in Chambers Global, Chambers Europe and Best Lawyers International. In 2016 he has been elected “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers International in Corporate and M&A Law and listed in Chambers Europe’s “Spotlight Table” for Barcelona, Corporate/Commercial.
