After earning his undergraduate degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill both as an undergraduate and from its law school, Ike N. 'Ike' Northup, Jr., returned home to Asheville in 1981 where he has practiced law for nearly four decades. Having clerked at the North Carolina Supreme Court in Raleigh following his bar admission, Ike's career trajectory includes founding one of two law firms, Hall Booth Smith PC, and practicing as a partner in numerous other firms.
