About Gillian
Gillian is a civil litigator focused on personal injury law, professional regulation and discipline matters, insurance law (with a special interest in disability insurance claims), and Workers' Compensation Board claims. After obtaining her B.Comm. (1989) at the University of Calgary and her LL.B. (1992) at the University of Alberta, she was admitted to the Alberta bar in 1993.A past chair of the Canadian Bar Association Alberta Law Conference, Gillian is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association Civil Litigation and Insurance Law subsections. She has volunteered with the Alberta Diabetes Foundation (ADF) since 2007; volunteering with and then chairing (2014 to 2016) its Halloween Howl event committee. She joined the Board of the ADF in 2013 and in 2014 became chair of its Governance Committee and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. In 2017, Gillian became Chair of the Board of Directors for the ADF.Outside of the office, Gillian enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and gardening.
