Emily Koekkoek represents clients in Colorado in cases of family law. In her attempts to make the transition through these issues as seamless as possible, she handles cases of divorce, child support, child custody, spousal support, protection orders, post-decree, mediation, property division, dependency and neglect, and nontraditional families.Ms. Koekkoek is a member of the Metro Denver Interdisciplinary Committee, the Colorado Bar Association and its family law section, and the Denver Bar Association. Ms. Koekkoek was recognize on the "One's to Watch" list of Best Lawyers Family Law in 2020.After earning a Bachelor of Arts from the McGill University, Ms. Koekkoek attended the University of Oregon for law school and earned a Juris Doctor along with a certificate in Environment and Natural Resources Law. She has completed the 40 Hour Mediation Certification course and has presented at the annual Colorado Family Law Institute.Ms. Koekkoek is dedicated to giving back to the community through her service with Metro Volunteer Lawyers and Project Safeguard, a non-profit dedicated to providing safety planning, legal advocacy, and direct court support to victims of domestic violence and abuse, ensuring their safety and survival.Ms. Koekkoek tailors her approach in cases based upon her client's individual needs and the specific needs of the case.
