About Eliot
Eliot Harris is a Member in the Seattle office of Williams Kastner and currently serves on the firm’s board of directors. Admitted to practice in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska, Eliot is a seasoned commercial litigator who represents clients in a wide spectrum of disputes. His litigation experience includes matters involving insurance coverage, product liability, shareholder conflicts, commercial contracts, real estate, intellectual property, premises liability, and claims of professional negligence.Eliot frequently advises clients in the early stages of disputes, offering guidance on coverage analysis and claims strategy before litigation begins. He also represents clients in complex coverage and bad faith litigation. His insurance work spans many lines of coverage, including general liability (CGL), employment practices (EPLI), errors and omissions (E&O), directors and officers (D&O), liquor liability, homeowners, property, auto (personal and commercial), and marine policies.Recognized for his legal accomplishments, Eliot has been consistently named a “Rising Star” by Washington Law and Politics Magazine. Most recently, he was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation (2024–2025).Beyond his litigation practice, Eliot is actively engaged in the legal and insurance communities. He is a past chair of the Toxic Torts and Environmental Law Committee of the ABA’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS), and currently serves as vice-chair of the TIPS Property Insurance Litigation Committee and a member of the TIPS CLE Board Standing Committee. Eliot also previously served on the Washington State Bar Association’s Committee of Law Examiners and has volunteered his time to provide pro bono legal assistance through the King County Bar Association’s Neighborhood Legal Clinic program. He has also served on the board of directors for the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) in the Northwest Region.
