About Elana
Elana Friedman is a litigation lawyer practising primarily in the areas of life sciences and healthcare. Elana joined our Toronto office as a summer student in 2017 and returned to complete her articles in 2018. During her articles, she completed a secondment with Toronto Hydro. She returned as an associate in the Toronto office's litigation group in 2019, where she practised commercial and civil litigation. Elana joined our Vancouver office in 2021. While in law school, Elana received the Dean's Silver Scholar award and course prizes in legal writing and written advocacy, patent law, commercial law, and real estate transactions. Elana also worked as a caseworker with Queen's Elder Law Clinic and participated in the Bowman Tax Moot, where she received an award for best factum. Elana graduated second in her class, for which she was awarded the Medal in Law – second highest standing.
