About Dawson
Dawson is an associate in the Corporate & Securities practice group, where he works with companies in every phase of growth and development, including idea stage, entity formation, angel financing, venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and beyond. He advises clients on the full spectrum of financing sources: pre-seed friends and family, seed, early-growth venture financing, growth-stage venture, and late-stage venture, private equity, and public financing.Dawson previously served as a law clerk where he compiled all closing documents to complete deals and drafted relevant start-up documents, corporate contracts, and waivers. He also served as a judicial extern in the Circuit Court of Cook County’s Chancery Division. In law school, Dawson served as the managing editor of the Journal of Law, Technology & Policy and as a staff writer for the Illinois Business Law Journal.
