Education & Credentials
Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), magna cum laude, from Harvard College in 1970. Graduated Phi Beta Kappa. J.D. from Yale Law School in 1973.
Mr. Cohen has served as a law clerk to the Honorable Caleb M. Wright of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware before joining his current legal practice in 1975. He currently serves as a Trial Referee for the Connecticut Superior Court and as a Special Master in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut.
Mr. Cohen is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, has participated on the boards of the Fairfield County Civil Liberties Union and Jewish Family Service of Stamford, served as past president of Temple Sinai, and was appointed by the American Civil Liberties Union to serve as cooperating counsel in civil rights cases. He has also made significant contributions through his efforts to resettle refugees from the former Soviet Union.
As a member of the Connecticut Bar Association since 1975, Mr. Cohen maintains an impressive record with numerous civic and humanitarian activities.
