Christiana M. Hadzoglou

Christiana joined Parlee McLaws’ Calgary office as an Associate in 2014 upon the completion of her Articles with the firm, having been previously admitted to the practice of law in New York State in 2010. She is an experienced trial and appellate litigator with a practice focused on civil litigation and administrative law, specifically in the areas of energy, construction, aviation, municipal governments, and insurance.Christiana has represented clients before the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, the Court of Appeal of Alberta, the Federal Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal of Canada, the Appeals Commission for Alberta Workers’ Compensation, the Real Estate Council of Alberta, the Alberta Human Rights Commission, and the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada.She received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary in 2003 and received a Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School in New York in 2009. Prior to returning to Calgary and joining the firm, Christiana worked for a Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, and in the Appeals and Special Litigation Division at the Westchester County District Attorney (New York State).Growing up, Christiana was a competitive dancer and completed all the Royal Academy of Dance graded syllabus ballet exams, and now continues to enjoy dancing with her young (and very energetic) daughter. Outside of her professional work, she also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and travelling to and exploring new cities/countries.Christiana speaks fluent Greek.
