About Carrie
Carrie received her Bachelor of Arts (magna cum laude) in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University in 2003, and earned her Juris Doctor from the George Mason University School of Law in 2007. She is admitted to practice law in all courts throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Since graduating law school, Carrie has been in private practice representing clients exclusively with their family law issues. Carrie handles all aspects of family law, from the routine to the complex. She has helped her clients navigate difficult issues of property valuation, tracing separate contributions to marital property, business valuations, and determining income for support purposes. She has litigated highly contested cases throughout Northern Virginia in matters involving custody, support, equitable distribution, and fault-based divorces. Carrie received the highest “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell in 2015, a leading peer review site rating legal professionals. While in law school, Carrie was active with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society, serving as the President of that organization in her final year in law school. Once in practice, Carrie became a certified Collaborative Practitioner in 2013 and she remains active with both the state and local practice groups. Carrie is an active member of the Fairfax Bar Association (where she is a member of the Family Law Section), the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Virginia Collaborative Professionals (where she sits on the Council as Chair), and the Collaborative Professionals of Northern Virginia. Carrie is recognized in the community as being both a compassionate and committed advocate for her clients while handling her cases with professionalism and respect. Carrie encourages her clients to explore methods of alternative dispute resolution whenever possible.
