This allows him to serve as the rare attorney that advises clients on transactional matters one moment and argues before the court on their behalf the next.Britton routinely represents developers and business owners with sales and acquisitions, development projects, leasing, and financing transactions. He is equipped to help clients with all aspects of due diligence and development, including drafting and negotiating buy-sell agreements, negotiating loan documents, assisting in survey and title review, negotiating and drafting declarations, facilitating clients with zoning and land use matters, and closing sophisticated multi-million-dollar transactions.Britton also routinely represents lenders in documenting and closing loans on the front end, and assists clients striving to protect their rights when things go awry, assisting in workouts, foreclosures, and bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings. He represents traditional and asset-based lenders in addition to trade creditors. Britton is particularly involved in representing creditors and insurers in mass tort reorganizations.Prior to joining Carruthers & Roth, Britton clerked for the Honorable Patrick Flatley in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.
