He was the director of community development for the American Constitution Society and the treasurer and founding member of the Space Law Society.Before law school, Brett worked for a national advocacy group in Washington, D.C. He graduated cum laude with a degree in Politics and Religion from Washington & Lee University where he received the John Warner Public Service Award and served as an S. Cullum Owings Jr. Fellow.An avid sports and live music enthusiast, Brett also enjoys exploring the outdoors with his dog.
