In addition to serving as a private mediator, she is a Court-appointed ADR Facilitator in domestic relations cases before the D.C. Superior Court. She is also an active proponent of the Collaborative Process, having served as president of the D.C. Academy of Collaborative Professionals (DCACP) and continuing to serve on the boards of DCACP and Collaborative Dispute Resolution Professionals (CDRP).While she encourages mediation, the Collaborative Process, and negotiated settlements whenever possible, Amanda advocates vigorously on behalf of her clients in court when litigation becomes unavoidable, utilizing her professional experience in both complex litigation and family law. She aims to minimize the financial and emotional toll litigation can take, and devotes the time to explain each step, provide options, and tailor strategy to address her clients’ unique goals.
